PANERAI LUMINOR 1950 SEALAND 3 DAYS AUTOMATIC ACCIAIO

Revolution (Hong Kong) - - WATCH CULTURE -

Panerai is also somewhat of a traditionalist, and has often used the Sealand collection, with a hunter cover on the case, to display an engraving. For its 9th edition dedicated to the Chinese Zodiac, the rooster is crafted using an age-old Italian technique called sparsello. The name comes from the tool that is used to inlay the engraving made on the steel cover with gold thread in parallel layers that are subsequently beaten until the outline is entirely filled in. The particular challenge for the artisan is that this is done after the steel cover has been engraved and perfectly polished, which means that there is zero margin for error.
