Baume & Mercier
Baume & Mercier continues to grow its Shelby Cobra line with the addition of the Clifton Club Shelby Cobra watch collection, with each one paying homage to the iconic American car, but this time, instead of Carroll Shelby, the spotlight was shone on the work of designer Peter Brock. The curious dial is split down the middle into two colors; white on the left and blue on the right, allowing the red seconds hand to pop. The 196 MPH inscription on the seconds hands pays tribute to the speed at which Daytona CSX2299 drivers Bondurant and Gurney beat the world record at the Le Mans race in 1964. The 44mm case combines both stainless steel and matte titanium, and the chronograph push buttons take inspiration from race car pedals.
