G20 Warm-up: Hangzhou Folk Arts andnd Crafts

Hangzhou is recog­nised by UN­ESCO as “the cap­i­tal of folk arts and crafts”, and this ex­hi­bi­tion is part of a se­ries of warm-up ac­tiv­i­ties for the up­com­ing G20 sum­mit, and is a sum­mary of the lat­est ac­com­plish­ments of the city’s folk arts and crafts cir­cle. The ex­hibits cover a range of gen­res in­clud­ing stone carv­ing, ce­ramic arts, em­broi­dery, pa­per-cut­ting, root-carv­ing, fan-mak­ing crafts­man­ship and seal-cut­ting, etc. One of the high­lights of the ex­hi­bi­tion is a stone-carv­ing piece by Wu Songjiang, a heavy­weight fig­ure in the city’s arts and crafts scene. 09:00-17:00 Hangzhou Sci­ence and Tech­nol­ogy Ex­change Mu­seum
