浙东白鹅

定海是“浙东白鹅之乡”。定海白斩鹅没有一丝腥臊之味的秘密在于白鹅的食物——黑麦草。海水带来丰富的养分,黑麦草生长得格外茂盛多汁,被海水间接养大的白鹅,也成了一道“海鲜”。 The se­cret be­hind the high qual­ity geese is the high nu­tri­tional con­tent of the ex­u­ber­ant rye grass the geese feed on.

晚稻杨梅

六月底,梅雨前后,外省杨梅纷纷落市,晚稻杨梅才刚开采。晚稻杨梅是中国四大优质杨梅品种之一。大概是不着急成熟的缘故,晚稻杨梅将滋味酝酿得尤为甜润。当地人还将杨梅用烧酒浸泡,作为搭配海鲜的乡土名酒。 A late-ma­tur­ing waxberry cul­ti­var unique to Ding­hai, best known for its sweet­ness and suc­cu­lence.

“红颊”草莓

定海册子岛的“喜来岛”牌“红颊”草莓,曾夺得浙江省农业吉尼斯草莓甜度之冠,已进入香港的高端水果市场;白泉镇的草莓园是许多本地人草莓采摘游的首选。 The ‘Rosy Cheeks’ straw­ber­ries grown by farm­ers in Ding­hai en­joy a high­end clien­tele in first-tier cities in­clud­ing Shang­hai and Hong Kong.

葡萄

七月是葡萄季。海岛种植葡萄,有自己独特的优势,定海葡萄的浆果着色和品质都非常好。双桥和白泉镇是定海著名的葡萄产地。 The coastal city of Ding­hai pro­duces one of the coun­try’s best grape va­ri­eties, with the Shuangqiao and Bai­quan area serv­ing as the main pro­duc­tion sites.

皋泄香柚

金塘镇的皋泄香柚已有近百年栽培历史。上世纪30 年代,船员从暹逻带回的种子在定海入乡随俗。每年 10 月下旬至 11月上旬,香柚成熟,贮藏半年仍能保持优良风味。 The cul­ti­va­tion of high qual­ity, shelf-sta­ble ‘Gaoxie pomelo’ in Jin­tang Town boasts a his­tory of more than 100 years.

山芽茶 &海天香佛茶

民国《定海县志》记载,“黄杨尖芽茶在民国四年(1915 年)美国巴拿马征集各国出品,黄杨尖芽茶曾得三等奖”。这黄杨尖芽茶就是遍布整个定海的山芽茶。定海茶的另一代表是海天香佛茶,仅产于东海大峡谷海拔 400 余米的茶园内。 Moun­tain Sprouts’ and Bud­dha Tea are the two bril­liant rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the tea agri­cul­ture in Ding­hai, the lat­ter only grown in the depths of the East Sea Canyon.

青饼与麻糍

定海人清明前后必食的米粉制品,用一种菊科的野菜“青”,混合米粉和糯米粉制成,带着朴素的天然清香,常勾起离乡定海人的乡愁。每到清明时节,金塘镇山潭社区的麻糍总会吸引食客排队购买。 Made of the ex­tracts of a spe­cial ed­i­ble wild herb and gluti­nous rice, the snack is a Tomb-sweep­ing Fes­ti­val treat ideal for tourists to take home as a Ding­hai sou­venir.
