The annual British Polo Day in China brings together British heritage and top players from various teams.
This year's British Polo Day in China returns to Beijing's Tang Polo Club on September 3. Presented by RJI Capital and hosted by Shilai Liu, one of China's most recognisable players and owner of Tang Polo Club, the one-day event showcases the best of British heritage through polo and entertainment.
Starting from midday, arriving guests will be offered a drink at the Champagne Taittinger reception. After that, they will be ushered to the venue's balcony for a three-course meal prepared by the chefs from NUO Hotel Beijing. During lunch, a Brompton bicycle competition will take place at the same time to keep guests well entertained throughout.
Once the bicycles are safely folded away, the horses will be brought on to the pitch for the official opening ceremony, led by RJI Capital and other participating teams. The Tang Polo Club, RJI Capital and NUO British Schools teams then go on to play against each other during the day for the chance to pick up one of the British silverware trophies.
The British Polo Day in China is the fourth event of the Global Series, which takes place in 10 different countries around the globe, including Abu Dhabi, Australia, Germany, India, Mexico and Morocco. Polo is, naturally, the main highlight but the highprofile event also offers a great opportunity to brush shoulders with the city's elite and prominent business leaders.
