STYLISH, SMOOTH AND SAFE

Honda’s new Odyssey luxury minivan hits all the marks

The Peak (Hong Kong) - - Special Report -

The all-new Odyssey from Honda is more than just a luxury minivan. It’s a style statement that makes its mark – be it dropping the kids off at school, or attending a black tie gala dinner later that night. This minivan can seat up to eight people in comfort and elegance. Simple contour lines create a captivating shape, and dynamism is expressed right down to the LED headlights and alloy wheels.

Whether in the new 7-seater Supreme or the 8-seater version of the Odyssey, passengers will be spoiled for comfort and connectivity. The second row in the 7-seater offers two bucket seats with the 8-seater featuring 3-person bench seating. In the 7-seater, passengers can take advantage of the streaming videos with a 9-inch display in the Rear Entertainment System, which can also be hooked up to a game console.

But making the ride aboard a luxury minivan is more than just technical achievement. It’s also about good design. That’s why the 300mm ultra low platform makes it easy for young children and the elderly to get in and out of the van. The remote-power sliding doors come with a built-in courtesy lamp for extra safety for both young and old. Once safely inside, the specially designed and fully flexible leather seats take care of the rest.

Under the hood, the Odyssey offers a DOHC I-VTEC direct injection engine for high torque at low RPM and high horsepower at high RPM. Combined with a 7-speed transmission, driver and guests enjoy smooth and safe handling. The Motion Adaptive Electric Power Steering responds to road and traffic conditions and further ensures better handling and safe driving. Combined with an array of safety features, including anti-lock braking, hill start assist and I-SRS and curtain airbags, driver and passengers can rest easy on their way to the ball, or to school.
