International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong partners up with IMM Cologne for its second edition

Those who missed Milano, Stockholm and London might find some relief in International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong 2017.

Themed ‘Redefining Luxury’, the second edition of the fair has grand ambitions of dissecting the much-thrown-around term: does luxury need a physical form, or is it more a state of mind? Is it ultimately connected to a monetary value?

Aside from bringing ten storied brands, including Baccarat, Knoll, St. Louis and Serip, to the fair, there will be five themed exhibitions, including William Lim’s Das Haus Asia, City of Towers from Zaha Hadid Design, Alan Chan’s Chan Tea House, the Anderson Lee-curated On Reading 2.0 and 10cc, an exhibition of furniture pieces by Hong Kong designers.

IDFFHK 2017 is also expanding its Dialogue Speakers series, bringing the number of speakers up to 20. Highlights include Chris Godfrey from Hirsch Bedner Associates, Inge Goudsmit from OMA, David Hoggard from PDP London and Otto Ng from LAAB.
