Cocktail hour isn’t just in the evening, but also during brunch to drive away the hangover of the night before. The sweet and gentle White Russian is probably the best choice for the latter. Supremely popular in the 1960s and 1970s, the White Russian underwent a revival following its exposure in the 1998 film The Big Lebowski. On screen, Jeff "the Dude" Lebowski has his own recipe for White Russian – he uses milk occasionally and sometimes replaces whipping cream with artificial creamer. From then on, the once-outdated White Russian turned into a symbol of irreverent cool. Apart from the classic combination of cream with vodka or Kahlúa, many variations have come to being: a coconut milk version for lactose intolerants and vegetarians; replacing Kahlúa with any coffee liqueur or craft beer; or using whipped egg white instead of whipped cream…
