Providing Legal Aid, Psychological Counseling
Panjin (a city in Northeast China's Liaoning Province) Women's Federation in early 2017 connected its rights-protection hotline, 0427-12338, with the hotline (of Panjin Legal Aid Center), 0427-12348, so women could seek legal assistance in protecting their rights and interests, and/or seek advice on improving education of their children and/or improving relations with their husbands (or other family members). So far, the hotlines have provided legal aid and/or psychological counseling to more than 110 women.
The center employs three lawyers and a psychologist to deal with calls from women, to help them resolve family disputes and to explain laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of women's legal rights and interests.
The center regularly invites judges, lawyers, sociologists and psychologists to provide, either face to face or via the hotline, 0427-12348, counseling to women, to help them resolve family disputes and/or protect their legal rights and interests.
The center and the federation during the past few months have publicized, via the Internet, information about national and international laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of women's legal rights and interests. The organizations have also provided, online, legal aid and psychological counseling to women.
