Reporting from Hometowns
Ten journalists from China Economic Weekly returned to their respective hometowns during the Spring Festival holidays this year, and they reported on the changes and development of their hometowns — from the perspective of a reporter. Their reports not only showed China's development in the new era, but also reflected young people's values, views of life and concepts of happiness — from multiple angles.
In Suining County, in East China's Jiangsu Province, reporter Liu Zhaopu found that more than 10,000 rural residents became new-type professional farmers, and that many of them lived in villas. Tim, 35, who worked in Sydney, Australia, returned to Sanya, in South China's Hainan Province, for the first time in the past three years, to reunite with his family during Spring Festival. He told reporter Hou Juan that he was impressed by the changes in China.
