Shen Meets Cote d'ivoire's First Lady
Shen Yueyue, Vice-chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the All-china Women's Federation (ACWF), met Dominique Ouattarra, wife of President of Cote d'ivoire, Alassane Ouattarra, in Beijing on August 31, 2018.
During their meeting, Shen talked about bilateral relations and women's exchanges between the two countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cote d'ivoire, 35 years ago, the two countries have respected each other, expanded bilateral cooperation in various fields and achieved remarkable results, Shen noted.
China, she added, is willing to work with Cote d'ivoire to implement important consensus reached by heads of the two countries and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and promote common development. She said she hoped women from the two countries would strengthen communications and cooperation, and that the women would make unremitting efforts to advance bilateral relations to a higher level, as well as to promote gender equality undertakings at the global stage.
