He is an essayist, poet, art critic and curator of contemporary Cuban art. In
1978 he graduated in Art History in Havana University. He has extensively published his essays on art and culture in catalogues, magazines and books printed in Cuba and abroad since the ‘80s to today. He has recently organized the Von Christierson Collection in London, and curated its travel exhibition entitled Without Masks: Contemporary Afrocuban Art. He lives and works in Havana.
