Mi­em­bro de la Uni­ón de Es­cri­to­res y Ar­tis­tas de Cuba (Une­ac) y de la Aso­ci­a­ci­ón In­ter­na­ci­o­nal de Ar­tis­tas Plás­ti­cos (AIAP). Pre­si­den­te de Ca­guayo Fun­da­ci­ón pa­ra las Ar­tes Mo­nu­men­ta­les y Apli­ca­das. Gra­du­a­do de Ma­es­tro en Arte, en las es­pe­ci­a­li­da­des de es­cul­tu­ra, ar­qui­tec­tu­ra, pin­tu­ra y grá­fi­ca, en la Aca­de­mia Re­pin, en Le­nin­gra­do (San Pe­ters­bur­go), en 1979. Ha re­a­li­za­do más de 40 ex­po­si­ci­o­nes per­so­na­les e igual nú­me­ro de co­lec­ti­vas, en im­por­tan­tes ga­le­rí­as de Cuba, Ho­lan­da, No­ru­e­ga, Fran­cia, Ale­ma­nia, Guya­na, Ve­ne­zu­e­la, Gre­cia, Mé­xi­co, Ru­sia, Es­paña, Bar­ba­dos, Bél­gi­ca, Su­ri­nam, Gra­na­da, Re­pú­bli­ca Do­mi­ni­ca­na, Sui­za, Pu­er­to Ri­co, Ca­nadá y Co­lom­bia, por solo men­ci­o­nar al­gu­nos. Cre­a­dor mul­ti­pre­mi­a­do, ti­e­ne bras es­cul­tó­ri­cas em­pla­za­das en va­ri­as na­ci­o­nes. Sus obras for­man par­te de im­por­tan­tes co­lec­ci­o­nes pri­va­das al­re­de­dor del mun­do.

Alberto Lescay Merencio (Santiago de Cuba, 1950) Mem­ber of the Uni­on of Wri­ters and Ar­tists of Cuba (UNE­AC) and of the In­ter­na­ti­o­nal As­so­ci­a­ti­on of Plas­tic Ar­tists (AIAP). Pre­si­dent of Ca­guayo Foun­da­ti­on for the Mo­nu­men­tal and Ap­pli­ed Arts. Mas­ter's De­gree in Art, in the spe­ci­al­ti­es of sculp­tu­re, arc­hi­tec­tu­re, pain­ting and grap­hics, at the Re­pin Aca­demy, in Le­nin­grad (St. Pe­ters­burg, 1979). He has held mo­re than 40 per­so­nal ex­hi­bi­ti­ons and an equal num­ber of collec­ti­ve ones in im­por­tant ga­lle­ri­es in Cuba, Ho­lland, Norway, Fran­ce, Ger­many, Guya­na, Ve­ne­zu­e­la, Gre­e­ce, Me­xi­co, Rus­sia, Spain, Bar­ba­dos, Bel­gi­um, Su­ri­na­me, Swit­zer­land, Pu­er­to Ri­co, Ca­na­da and Co­lom­bia, just to na­me a few. Mul­ti­award-win­ning cre­a­tor who has im­por­tant sculp­tu­ral works lo­ca­ted in se­ve­ral na­ti­ons. His works are part of im­por­tant pri­va­te collec­ti­ons around the world.
