MC-21, THE NEW PRO­DUCT DEVELOPED BY THE RUS­SIAN FE­DE­RA­TION’S UNI­TED AIR­CRAFT COR­PO­RA­TION UAC, FI­NALLY HAD

ITS ROLLOUT MONTHS AF­TER ITS FIRST FLIGHT. DIF­FE­RENT VERSIONS WILL RE­PLA­CE THE TU-154 AND TU-204/214, WITH A 5,000-5,500 KM RAN­GE. THE­RE ARE 74 PUR­CHA­SE OP­TIONS WITH AN INITIAL PRI­CE OF 35 MI­LLION USD PER UNITY AND IT HAS 206 ORDERS, MAINLY RE­LA­TED TO THE MS21-300 MO­DEL. The Rus­sian Uni­ted Avia­tion Cor­po­ra­tion UAC bu­si­ness group, ma­de up of Ir­kut and Ya­ko­vlev De­sign Bu­reau, de­ve­lops the “Магистральный самолет 21 века” (Ma­gis­traln­yi Sa­ma­liot 21) pro­gram, with the aim set on ma­king an air­craft in th­ree versions: MC-21-200, with ca­pa­city for 162 pas­sen­gers; MC-21-300 for 198 pas­sen­gers and MC-21-400 for 230, all of them in the “short and me­dium ran­ge”. The pro­ject in­clu­des ER and LR va­riants for versions 200, 300 and 400.
