Even honours as CMC draws against Ayios Nikolaos team
A TWO- legged match between the CMC Golf Club and players of the Ayios Nikolaos club has ended in a draw for the first time.
The second leg of the annual fixture saw Ayios Nikolaos bring a 5-3 advantage to CMC’s Yeşilyurt course on Sunday, following the first leg on the British Sovereign Bases Area at Dhekelia. However the CMC players triumphed 6
4 on the day, leaving honours even overall.
The hosts provided a Turkish buffet afterwards, when the visitors’ captain, John Kirk, thanked all for a “really good sporting competition”, saying his team was looking forward to the next one.
