Paphos boost from
President Nicos Anastasiades inaugurated the Minthis Hills Golf Resort last week, saying the EUR 600 mln project in Tsada is the cornerstone of development.
The President praised Elias Eliades, CEO of the Pafilia Group that owns the project, saying that “this important project for Paphos proves the dynamism of Cypriot entrepreneurs.”
“Projects of this magnitude and importance remind us all that we Cypriots are determined not only to stand on our feet, but to move ahead” and exit the current economic crisis, by achieving more in a shorter time.
Anastasiades added that he listened to Eliades’ complaints that it took seven years fro the projects permits to be approved.
“Imagine which foreign investor would be interested in Cyprus if we had such timeframes, which I hope will be something of the past,” he said, explaining that his administration wants to speed up and simplify procedures in order to attract more foreign investors.
