The European Central Bank has announced that it will publish the results of 130 European banks’ asset quality review on October 26, with the European Banking Authority issue the results of its EU-wide stress test on the same day.
The stress tests include Bank of Cyprus, Hellenic Bank, RCB Bank and the Cooperative sector, all of which have raised fresh capital and improved their liquidity ratios. Their executives were in Brussels last Tuesday and Wednesday to submit their latest data.
“The results will distinguish between capital shortfalls identified in the AQR and those identified under the baseline and adverse scenarios of the stress test”, the ECB added.
