Road trans­port down in 1Q

Na­tional road trans­port de­creased by 18.7% in the first quar­ter of the year, com­pared to the same pe­riod of 2014, ac­cord­ing to Sta­tis­ti­cal Ser­vice data.

The main prod­ucts for na­tional road trans­port recorded in the Jan­uary-March pe­riod were non-me­tal­lic min­eral prod­ucts (903,000 tonnes), food prod­ucts, bev­er­ages and to­bacco (692,000 tonnes), coke and re­fined petroleum prod­ucts (567,000 tonnes).

In­ter­na­tional road trans­port de­creased by 12.5% in Jan­uary-March 2015, com­pared to the same pe­riod last year. The main prod­ucts were food prod­ucts, bev­er­ages and to­bacco(1,890 tonnes) and agri­cul­tural, hunt­ing and forestry prod­ucts (1,385 tonnes).
