No avian flu, bond mar­ket de­ci­sion in early 2006

Pres­i­dent Pa­padopou­los said that there was no need to panic from a bird flu epi­demic in Turkey which is also af­fect­ing tourism in that coun­try, while a de­ci­sion will be taken for a sec­ondary bond mar­ket, ac­cord­ing to the is­sue 654, on Jan­uary 18, 2006.

Pres­i­dent Tas­sos Pa­padopou­los said that all preven­tive mea­sures were taken to con­tain any spread of the avian in­fluenza (bird flu) from Turkey and the oc­cu­pied ar­eas in the north, as the UN have been com­mu­ni­cat­ing with the Turk­ish Cypriot
