Laiki shares eye CYP 5, Hellenic profits up 21%
Laiki Bank’s shares could easily reach CYP 5 with the Chairman Kikis Lazarides saying it had “excellent” prospects for growth, while Hellenic Bank was also on a roll, announcing a 21% increase in profits the previous year, according to the issue 154, on March 20, 1996.
Laiki Bank Chairman Kikis Lazarides said that prospects were “excellent” and based on current financial ratios, the share price may easily
reach CYP 5 from the current CYP 4 level. Net profits in 1995 were up 18.6% at CYP 17.9 mln and the board proposed a 20% dividend.
Hellenic Bank results for 1995 showed satisfactory increases in both operational and after-tax profits, at CYP 6.13 mln and 3.38 mln, respectively.
