New CEO at Hermes Airports
The Hermes Airports board has appointed Eleni Kalogirou as its new CEO, replacing Wes Porter who resigned to take a senior executive position at an airport in North America. He had served as Hermes’ Chief Executive Officer since July 2013. Eleni Kaloyirou joined Hermes Airports in November 2014 as the Executive Manager Business Control. As of 1 January 2016, she assumed the position of CFO.
Eleni has 30 years of work experience mainly in the airline industry, in the position of CFO and then deputy CEO at Cyprus Airways. She also has experience in the property development business and the accounting profession having worked for KPMG in Cyprus and London. She was a board member of the Association of Public Companies of Cyprus between 1991 and 2011.
Eleni is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus. She holds a degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
