Bul­garia, Ro­ma­nia get ‘Yes’ for EU, CSE test­ing pe­riod

Ro­ma­nia and Bul­garia got a ‘yes’ for EU ac­ces­sion and will be among the next mem­bers of the ex­panded Union of­fer­ing re­lief to Cypriot prop­erty own­ers there, while at home, the CSE ex­change was set to be­gin a one-month test­ing ex­er­cise, ac­cord­ing to the is­sue 671, on May 17, 2006. The Euro­pean Com­mis­sion gave a qual­i­fied ‘yes’ to a 2007 date for ac­ces­sion by Ro­ma­nia and Bul­garia, rais­ing the EU mem­ber­ship to 27. The Com­mis­sion said re­forms should con­tinue.
