CSC celebrates International “Day of the Seafarer”
The international shipping community celebrated the “Day of the Seafarer” on 25 June as set by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). This year’s “Day of the Seafarer” campaign was entitled “At Sea For All” and aimed to stress the importance of seafarers and remind the general public worldwide that the seafarers constitute the ‘blood cell’ of shipping.
The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, in cooperation with other associations of the Cyprus Maritime Cluster, participated in this year’s celebrations through the initiation of a general public awareness campaign and promotion that included a series of activities and events under the general theme: “Tribute to the Seafarer”.
