Ac­cep­tance of the no­ti­fi­ca­tion by na­tional com­pe­tent au­thor­ity for EU PCIs

The Min­istry of En­ergy, Com­merce, In­dus­try and Tourism as the Na­tional Com­pe­tent Au­thor­ity re­spon­si­ble for the co­or­di­na­tion of all per­mit grant­ing pro­cesses (‘one-stop shop’) for Projects of Com­mon In­ter­est of the Euro­pean Union, an­nounced that it has ac­cepted the no­ti­fi­ca­tion of the elec­tric­ity in­ter­con­nec­tion EuroAsia In­ter­con­nec­tor un­der ar­ti­cle 10(1)(a) of the Reg­u­la­tion (EU) No 347/2013 of the Euro­pean Par­lia­ment and of the Coun­cil of 17 April 2013 on guide­lines for trans-Euro­pean en­ergy in­fra­struc­ture.

“The Na­tional Com­pe­tent Au­thor­ity, af­ter ex­am­in­ing the sub­mit­ted doc­u­ments and in­for­ma­tion re­lat­ing to the electrical in­ter­con­nec­tion EuroAsia In­ter­con­nec­tor and af­ter hav­ing con­sulted the con­cerned au­thor­i­ties, de­cided that it has reached a suf­fi­cient de­gree of ma­tu­rity to start the per­mit grant­ing process and ac­cepted the no­ti­fi­ca­tion of the elec­tric­ity in­ter­con­nec­tion EuroAsia in­ter­con­nec­tor,” it said.

“The EuroAsia In­ter­con­nec­tor’s Project Pro­moter wants to thank the Min­is­ter, the Direc­tor Gen­eral and the staff of the Min­istry of En­ergy, Com­merce and Tourism, and the of­fi­cers of all in­volved au­thor­i­ties, for their trust and sup­port given to­wards the im­ple­men­ta­tion of the elec­tric­ity in­ter­con­nec­tion EuroAsia In­ter­con­nec­tor within the time­lines as for­warded to the Euro­pean Com­mis­sion.”
