BOC to get new chair­man, CSE prof­its up

Bank of Cyprus was ex­pected to elect a new chair­man after Vas­silis Rol­o­gis re­signed, with an in­terim chair ex­pected un­til the next AGM in May 2007, while CSE-listed com­pa­nies saw first half prof­its rise four­fold, ac­cord­ing to the Fi­nan­cial Mir­ror is­sue 686, on Septem­ber 6, 2006.

The Bank of Cyprus is ex­pected to choose a re­place­ment for Chair­man Vas­silis Rol­o­gis, who quit prob­a­bly due to the failed merger deal with Pi­raeus Bank. His in­terim suc­ces­sors un­til the next ASG are ex­pected to be Chris­tos Pantziaris and Al­pha Bank ex-chair­man Eleft­he­rios Ioan­nou
