PwC Cyprus wel­comes 70 univer­sity grad­u­ates in its new in­take

PwC Cyprus wel­comed 70 univer­sity grad­u­ates who will be join­ing the or­gan­i­sa­tion’s ACA and ACCA pro­fes­sional train­ing schemes.

CEO Ev­ge­nios Ev­ge­niou and Philip­pos So­sei­los, Head of Hu­man Cap­i­tal, wel­comed PwC’s new­est mem­bers dur­ing an event in which they had the op­por­tu­nity to learn more about the or­gan­i­sa­tion and their train­ing pro­gramme.

Ev­ge­niou, who was re­cently re-elected chief ex­ec­u­tive of the firm for a sec­ond term, noted that, “our or­gan­i­sa­tion be­lieves in young peo­ple and their po­ten­tial and con­tin­ues to in­vest in the fu­ture by re­cruit­ing and train­ing tal­ented univer­sity grad­u­ates. We are proud of our coun­try’s youth and we will con­tinue to sup­port the econ­omy of Cyprus in ev­ery way pos­si­ble”.

Dur­ing the fi­nan­cial year which ended on June 30, PwC Cyprus re­cruited over 170 peo­ple in­clud­ing 90 univer­sity grad­u­ates who em­barked on PwC’s 2015 ACA and ACCA pro­fes­sional train­ing schemes. In ad­di­tion, ten trainee ac­coun­tants achieved world­wide and Pan­cyprian awards in the pro­fes­sional ex­am­i­na­tions of the In­sti­tute of Char­tered Ac­coun­tants in Eng­land and Wales (ICAEW) and the As­so­ci­a­tion of Char­tered Cer­ti­fied Ac­coun­tants (ACCA).
