BOC to get new chairman, CSE profits up
Bank of Cyprus was expected to elect a new chairman after Vassilis Rologis resigned, with an interim chair expected until the next AGM in May 2007, while CSE-listed companies saw first half profits rise fourfold, according to the Financial Mirror issue 686, on September 6, 2006.
The Bank of Cyprus is expected to choose a replacement for Chairman Vassilis Rologis, who quit probably due to the failed merger deal with Piraeus Bank. His interim successors until the next ASG are expected to be Christos Pantziaris and Alpha Bank ex-chairman Eleftherios Ioannou
