Paúl Navarrete (1982 - 2014) . fotoperiodista / photojournalist

Nan Magazine - - IN MEMORIAM -

We have witnessed, from near and afar, Paúl Navarrete’s passion for photography, his beginnings at his high school’s Journalism Club, his first steps as a professional photojournalist, his love for travel, the awards he won, the projects, ideas and beliefs he cherished. Paul faced any challenge, executed assignments diligently, dreamed highly, smiled radiantly, and became someone with whom to share both editorial responsibilities and thoughts about our world. Suddenly, we are forced to say goodbye to a great collaborator and close friend. From the Photography Department of this magazine and on behalf of the entire Ñan team, we not only feel the immense loss of his professionalism, talent and integrity, but the void left behind by an exceptional human being. Paúl was convinced that with his job and his camera, he could express the beauty and challenges of this world, and in that way, contribute… shake us a little, invite us to look at things through a different light.

We want to share this image of our journey with Ñan to Imbabura (La Magdalena) with his loved ones.
