As part of their con­tin­ual com­mit­ment to cus­tomer sat­is­fac­tion, BMW re­cently an­nounced the launch of their com­pe­ti­tion pack­age. Pro­vid­ing a lim­ited edi­tion se­ries of BMW’s most loved mod­els with a sporty edge, the new pack­age will go live this spring. The BMW M3 Sedan, BMW M4 Coupe and the BMW M4 Con­vert­ible which will all be of­fered in the new pack­age will pro­vide a new di­men­sion to the beloved brands by of­fer­ing the per­fect com­bi­na­tion of high-per­for­mance sports car en­gi­neer­ing with un­re­stricted ev­ery­day util­ity. The spe­cial pack­age that comes from BMW M GmbH revs up the mod­els sporty per­son­al­i­ties which are com­pli­mented by en­hanced dy­nam­ics.

With ex­ten­sive han­dling up­grades, im­proved power per­for­mance and ex­clu­sive fea­tures, the Com­pe­ti­tion Pack­age will of­fer a14kW/19hp hike in power that takes the cars up to 331kW/450hp, with more ef­fi­cient com­bined fuel con­sump­tion and CO2 emis­sions (BMW M3/M4 Coupe: com­bined fuel con­sump­tion 8.8–8.3 l/100km [32.1–34.0 mpg imp], com­bined CO2 emis­sions 204–194 g/km; BMW M4 Con­vert­ible: com­bined fuel con­sump­tion 9.1–8.7 l/100km [31.0–32.5 mpg imp], com­bined CO2 emis­sions 213–203 g/km)*.

An op­tional 7-speed M Dou­ble Clutch trans­mis­sion sprint from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.0 sec­onds on the BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe slices an ad­di­tional sec­ond off the speed up process, whilst the BMW M4 Con­vert­ible reaches the same speed in 4.3 sec­onds. The sprint time for mod­els with the stan­dard 6-speed man­ual trans­mis­sion is like­wise 0.1 sec­onds faster in all cases than with­out the pack­age. In­clud­ing Adap­tive M Sus­pen­sion, which has been ex­ten­sively tuned to the en­hanced per­for­mance and han­dling, the tuned sus­pen­sion sys­tem fea­tures new springs, dampers and anti-roll bars, along with re­con­fig­ured driv­ing modes (Com­fort, Sport and Sport+). The stan­dard Ac­tive M Dif­fer­en­tial on the rear axle and DSC Dy­namic Sta­bil­ity Con­trol have like­wise been con­fig­ured to match the up­graded dy­nam­ics, whilst ex­clu­sive forged, ma­chinepol­ished, weight-and rigid­ity-op­ti­mized 20-inch M al­loy wheels with ex­clu­sive multi-spoke 666 M styling and mixed tires (front: 265/30 R20, rear: 285/30 R20) com­plete the list of chas­sis up­grades.

Cre­at­ing the ul­ti­mate sporty in­te­rior, the BMW M3 and BMW M4 Coupe fea­ture spe­cial light­weight M sports seats that com­bine per­fect sup­port un­der hard driv­ing con­di­tions with ex­cep­tional com­fort for long jour­neys. Seat­belts with wo­ven-in BMW M stripes cap off com­plete the Com­pe­ti­tion Pack­ages unique sporty am­bi­ence.

Bold ex­te­rior high­lights in­clude the M sports ex­haust sys­tem with black chrome tailpipes and the ex­clu­sive lines most dis­tinc­tive fea­ture; the M sports ex­haust sys­tem. The po­tent sound; start­ing with the rum­ble and the dis­tinc­tive bur­ble on over run, never fail to get un­der the skin of ded­i­cated driv­ers adding to the unique sports car like driv­ing ex­pe­ri­ence the Com­pe­ti­tion Pack­age pro­vides.

To top it off, the pack­ages’ BMW M3 and BMW M4 fea­ture ex­tended BMW In­di­vid­ual High-Gloss Shadow Line ex­te­rior trim. The high-gloss black fin­ish which is tra­di­tion­ally ap­plied only to the side win­dow trim, win­dow re­cess fin­ish­ers and ex­te­rior mir­ror frames and bases has been ex­tended to the BMW kid­ney grille, the side gills and the model badge on the tail, cre­at­ing the ul­ti­mate sleek sports car per­sona.
