MasterCard and INJAZ Egypt have launched the MasterCard Women’s En­trepreneur­ship Pro­gram aim­ing to sup­port young busi­ness­women. In keep­ing with Pres­i­dent Ab­del Fat­tah el-Sisi’s theme of 2017 be­ing “the year of the Egyp­tian women,” the com­pe­ti­tion em­pow­ers lo­cal fe­male en­trepreneurs to pur­sue their dreams, es­tab­lish fi­nan­cial in­de­pen­dence and grow their busi­nesses by pro­vid­ing them with the nec­es­sary busi­ness skills, train­ing and men­tor­ships. To kick it off, an open­ing cer­e­mony was held with Tamer Kashef, man­ager of MasterCard Egypt; Dahlia He­laly, deputy CEO of INJAZ Egypt; and mem­bers of 20 teams of young en­trepreneurs, along with men­tors and train­ers. Busi­ness­women Fatma Ghaly, the man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Egypt Jewels, which owns the Azza Fahmy brand, was also in at­ten­dance.
