To air suspension or not?

Land Rover AFRICA Magazine - - TECHNICAL -

I would like some more information regarding the air- suspension on a Discovery 2. I realise its self- levelling and loading it up will automatically level the rear again. Does it work with ACE to counteract the roll when going around a bend? Is the system fast enough to do this effectively? When driving off- road, do the electronics and software assist with articulation, i. e. in a cross axle, will it ‘ push’ one wheel down and soften the other up to find traction. Or is it purely mechanical articulation as if coil spring were used? Is the articulation on standard coils or on air suspension better? Does the suspension soften up when the road becomes uneven, e. g. corrugations? - Fortuin
