Making waves

So this ‘toy’ is obviously heavily dependent on your migratory patterns each holiday, specifically whether you’re one for the bush or the branders. But if you do spend your holidays next to a body of water, an aquatic version of the quad bike is a sure way to go. Yamaha deals in a variety of Waverunners and they tend to vary from ‘cruisers’ on which three people can ride simultaneously, to sleeker and faster models that cut through water more easily. Some have all the bells and whistles, including things like cruise control. Of the sleeker kind, the Yamaha FZR 2015 has a supercharged 4-stroke, 4-cylinder engine that can accelerate from 0-48 km/h in 1.5 seconds – zippy may be an understatement… Primary fun factor: All the celebs are doing it, and it’s like riding a motorbike on water.
