Mamish dis­cusses Egyp­tian labour train­ing with Ger­man ship­builders

Chair­man of the Suez Canal Author­ity (SCA), Mo­hab Mamish, ar­rived on Tues­day morn­ing to Mu­nich amid his Ger­man tour ac­com­pa­nied by a high-level del­e­ga­tion from the Gen­eral Author­ity For Suez Canal Eco­nomic Zone to pro­mote the re­gion.The del­e­ga­tion seeks to present the in­vest­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties in the Suez Canal area, and com­plete ne­go­ti­a­tions which were ini­ti­ated with Ger­man com­pa­nies dur­ing Mamish’s last visit to Ger­many in June.

On the first day of his visit to Ger­many, Mamish met the chair­man of the Ham­burg Port Author­ity, Jens Meier, to learn about the lat­est meth­ods of port man­age­ment and de­vel­op­ment. Ham­burg port is con­sid­ered as the sec­ond most im­por­tant Euro­pean port fol­low­ing the port of Rot­ter­dam.

He also met with the Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer of Ham­burg Hafen und Lo­gis­tik (Ham­burg for Ports and Lo­gis­tics), Jens Hansen, to dis­cuss the lat­est de­vel­op­ments in the field world­wide. Mamish said that such bi­lat­eral meet­ings will ben­e­fit the East andWest Port Said’s ports in the next pe­riod. He also re­ferred to his meet­ing with the di­rec­tor of Blohm-Voss Re­pair, which is one of the largest ma­rine ar­se­nals for the re­pair, main­te­nance and con­struc­tion of ships in Ger­many, Where they dis­cussed the tech­ni­cal train­ing of ship­build­ing work­ers.
