Jack’s re­news deal with Nadi Rugby

Jack’s of Fiji re­newed their part­ner­ship with Nadi Rugby Union with a $ 59,500 boost. This sea­son Jack’s is spon­sor­ing $30,000 in kind, which in­cludes Adidas rugby boots and equip­ment, Qaqa branded play­ing gear and mer­chan­dise for of­fi­cials and play­ers to­gether with $29,500 cash.

Jack’s of Fiji chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Bhavin Kha­tri said their un­bro­ken part­ner­ship has grown since they first started.

“Jack’s of Fiji is hon­oured to be the of­fi­cial ma­jor spon­sor of Nadi Rugby Union for 2016. Our part­ner­ship goes back over 20 years and it has grown stronger over the years,” he said.

He said at Jack’s of Fiji, as part of their cor­po­rate so­cial re­spon­si­bil­ity, they want to sup­port the on-go­ing de­vel­op­ment of com­mu­nity sports in Fiji start­ing from grass­roots level.

“This year’s spon­sor­ship in­cludes con­tri­bu­tions to women’s rugby, kaji rugby and sec­ondary schools rugby as well.”

Kha­tri said there are also avail­able a full range of mer­chan­dise for fans that would be sold through their stores- roy­alty from the sales of th­ese mer­chan­dise goes back to NRU. “We have added an ad­di­tional in­cen­tive for play­ers and team of­fi­cials. Jack’s is com­mit­ting to give a $10,000 cash bonus for a win in the Skip­per Cup and an ad­di­tional $10,000 for a win in the Fare­brother Tro­phy chal­lenge.” Mean­while, Red Brick Laun­dry who has taken the spon­sor­ing of the Nadi Un­der-20 side has pledged $15,000 in cash and $7000 in kind. NRU chair­man Sekove Tuilakeba said they are grate­ful to Jack’s of Fiji for be­ing their long-term part­ner. “It has been a suc­cess­ful part­ner­ship,” he added. “To­gether, with good gov­er­nance we hope to make Nadi Rugby reach its true po­ten­tial. We will be push­ing for good gov­er­nance once again for the sake of our union’s cred­i­biltiy.” He also thanked their co-spon­sors like KK’s Hard­ware, Food­hall Su­per­mar­ket, Big Bula Wa­ter Park, Moti­ram, Red Brick Laun­dry, Radis­son Blu Re­sort, Wyndham Re­sort, FBC and the Fiji Sun, who have come for­ward.
