Jack’s renews deal with Nadi Rugby
Jack’s of Fiji renewed their partnership with Nadi Rugby Union with a $ 59,500 boost. This season Jack’s is sponsoring $30,000 in kind, which includes Adidas rugby boots and equipment, Qaqa branded playing gear and merchandise for officials and players together with $29,500 cash.
Jack’s of Fiji chief executive officer Bhavin Khatri said their unbroken partnership has grown since they first started.
“Jack’s of Fiji is honoured to be the official major sponsor of Nadi Rugby Union for 2016. Our partnership goes back over 20 years and it has grown stronger over the years,” he said.
He said at Jack’s of Fiji, as part of their corporate social responsibility, they want to support the on-going development of community sports in Fiji starting from grassroots level.
“This year’s sponsorship includes contributions to women’s rugby, kaji rugby and secondary schools rugby as well.”
Khatri said there are also available a full range of merchandise for fans that would be sold through their stores- royalty from the sales of these merchandise goes back to NRU. “We have added an additional incentive for players and team officials. Jack’s is committing to give a $10,000 cash bonus for a win in the Skipper Cup and an additional $10,000 for a win in the Farebrother Trophy challenge.” Meanwhile, Red Brick Laundry who has taken the sponsoring of the Nadi Under-20 side has pledged $15,000 in cash and $7000 in kind. NRU chairman Sekove Tuilakeba said they are grateful to Jack’s of Fiji for being their long-term partner. “It has been a successful partnership,” he added. “Together, with good governance we hope to make Nadi Rugby reach its true potential. We will be pushing for good governance once again for the sake of our union’s credibiltiy.” He also thanked their co-sponsors like KK’s Hardware, Foodhall Supermarket, Big Bula Water Park, Motiram, Red Brick Laundry, Radisson Blu Resort, Wyndham Resort, FBC and the Fiji Sun, who have come forward.
