The Suva football side are doing all they can to prepare for next month’s Oceania Football Confederation’s Champions League in Auckland, New Zealand. Suva coach Gurjit Singh said preparation has not been easy for them. “The only thing players can do is to do give their best in New Zealand,” he said. “The team we are fielding will not be the same as the one we took to the tournament last year, in terms of our preparation time. Another setback was when one of our registered players got rejected by OFC.” Singh said they have a tough pool and his players would be put to the test and they are looking forward to it. The Whites are in Group B with Team Wellington (New Zealand), Hekari United (Papua New Guinea) and AS Lossi (New Caledonia) while Nadi are in Group C with AS Tefana (Tahiti), Kiwi FC (New Zealand) and AS Magenta (New Caledonia).
