Samoa in­mates mark Easter with fam­ily

Apia: Samoa’s Pris­ons and Cor­rec­tional Ser­vices has al­lowed in­mates of three pris­ons to cel­e­brate Easter with their fam­i­lies and friends. The meet­ing has been held in the pres­ence of a supreme court judge and two gov­ern­ment min­is­ters. About 100 se­lected pris­on­ers also took part in an ac­tiv­ity held at Tafa’igata prison in which in­mates per­formed a drama demon­strat­ing the cru­fix­ion of Christ. The as­sis­tant com­mis­sioner of Pris­ons and Cor­rec­tional ser­vices, Sa­gaga Galu Frost, said such ac­tiv­i­ties cre­ated some changes in the in­mates’ con­duct. Source: RNZI
