4 to be charged for alleged possession of illegal drugs
Suspects are held at Savusavu, Labasa and Seaqaqa awaiting test results
Four people in Vanua Levu, who were allegedly found in possession of drugs, are expected to be charged soon. This was confirmed by the divisional Police commander northern, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shri Bhawan Singh, yesterday. “During our special operation in the weekend, four people found in possession of drugs were arrested,” SSP Singh said.
“Currently, the four suspects are being held in custody at the Labasa, Savusavu and Seqaqa Police stations.
“Investigations are continuing as we are waiting for the result of the tests on the dry leaves allegedly found on them,” he said.
“The charges for all four will be decided after test results are received.”
