Home fire vic­tims ap­peal for help

A fam­ily is ap­peal­ing to the Fiji Red Cross and Govern­ment to help them re­build their home af­ter their fully fur­nished house was razed by fire two Satur­days ago. Taxi driver Navi­nesh Kr­ishna said his wife Fozia Bibi and their fouryear-old son Ar­nav Kr­ishna were left with noth­ing af­ter the $40,000 prop­erty was de­stroyed by the fire. The fam­ily have moved to his par­ents home at Lag­i­lagi Hous­ing in Jittu Es­tate. The house was de­stroyed with four other cor­ru­gated iron houses and the Chris­tian Life Church on the night of March 19 when the fire went out of con­trol on Ko­mave Street in Nabua, Suva. The Na­tional Fire Au­thor­ity is con­tin­u­ing with in­ves­ti­ga­tions to de­ter­mine the cause of the fire..
