North Korea warned not to escalate tension
South Korea said in a statement that the North Korea launch bluntly violated UN Security Council resolutions.
China urged the North Korea to comply with UN resolutions and stop any action that might escalate the tension on the Korean Peninsula, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said. The spokesperson made the remarks when asked to comment on the DPRK firing of what the Republic of Korea’s military assessed as a Rodong ballistic missile on Friday morning. South Korea has also strongly denounced the nation’s launch of a ballistic missile in violation of UN Security Council resolutions.
