Se­ries lead grows de­spite fi­nal shocker

The Voda­fone Fi­jian 7s team have ex­tended their lead to eight points on the World Sev­ens Se­ries. This is de­spite los­ing 30-7 to Kenya in the Cup fi­nal of the Sin­ga­pore 7s last night. The Voda­fone Fi­jians notched 19 points for be­ing the run­ner-up to stay at the top with 147 while South Africa beat Ar­gentina 28-0 to grab the third spot and ranked sec­ond on the Se­ries ta­ble with 139. New Zealand moved down to third spot af­ter they lost to Samoa in the Plate fi­nal. In an­other out­stand­ing re­sult, Voda­fone Fi­jian first five eight cum winger Ki­tione Taliga equally topped the DHL Per­for­mance Tracker for the Sin­ga­pore 7s.
