Los An­ge­les: Quan­tico star Priyanka Chopra has crit­i­cised Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial front-run­ner Don­ald Trump’s call for ban­ning Mus­lim im­mi­grants, say­ing gen­er­al­is­ing a type of peo­ple is “re­ally prim­i­tive”. In De­cem­ber last year, Trump gave an ex­tra­or­di­nary call to ban all Mus­lims from en­ter­ing the US, in­clud­ing tourists and busi­ness trav­ellers, a di­rect chal­lenge to the na­tion’s con­sti­tu­tional right to the free ex­er­cise of re­li­gion. The Bol­ly­wood star shared her views about the bat­tle against ter­ror­ism, which is an im­por­tant is­sue dur­ing the 2016 US pres­i­den­tial race, at the TIME 100 gala on Tues­day night here, re­ports The Bol­ly­wood star’s name has been fea­tured in Time magazine’s 100 Most In­flu­en­tial Peo­ple in the world along­side big celebri­ties in­clud­ing Trump. “I just think you can’t put a ban on any­one. Gen­er­al­is­ing a type of peo­ple is re­ally prim­i­tive,” Priyanka said. She said the fight against ter­ror­ism had grown so com­plex, that “you can’t put a face on it any more”. Priyanka is shoot­ing for Bay­watch along­side Hol­ly­wood A-lis­ters Dwayne John­son and Zac Efron.
