Victorians remain unbeaten
Queen Victoria School Old Boys (QVSOB) defeated National Fire Authority (NFA) 26-22 in round five of the RC Manubhai-sponsored Suva Rugby Union Escott Shield competition at the ANZ Stadium last Saturday. The feature match of the round lived up to expectations as QVSOB snatched a remarkable fightback to score an upset win over the favourites. The win stretched the Victorians unbeaten record this season to five games. In the other matches, Army defeated Marist 15-10, defending champions Navy too strong for Harlequins 41-0,Raiwaqa beat USP 12-6 while Wardens thrashed Delainavesi 52-3 in the CBS Power Solutions Koroturaga Grade encounter. Suva Rugby Union interim chairman Lai Kaivei praised the performance of the teams.
“We have seen a lot of talented players playing for their respective team,”he said.
