Sus­pect of stab­bing case known to Po­lice

Po­lice re­vealed yes­ter­day that a sus­pect was known in re­la­tion to the al­leged stab­bing of a 33-year-old woman in­side her shop in Ki­noya at mid­day on Mon­day but no one had been ar­rested yet.

Po­lice chief of In­tel­li­gence and In­ves­ti­ga­tions, as­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner of Po­lice Luke Navela con­firmed that no one had been ar­rested in re­la­tion to the case although a sus­pect had been known to Po­lice. Po­lice spokesper­son Ana Naisoro said in­ves­ti­ga­tors were gath­er­ing ev­i­dence to de­ter­mine the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing the al­leged at­tack as the vic­tim re­mained ad­mit­ted at the Colo­nial War Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal (CWMH). Ms Naisoro said in­ves­ti­ga­tions were con­tin­u­ing.
