Ministry welcomes new PS
Fiji’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday officially welcomed their new Permanent Secretary and former envoy Ravindra (Robin) Nair.
Mr Nair officially began yesterday as the new Permanent Secretary in a role that the Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola says will be important in advancing Fiji’s foreign interests. In his welcoming remarks, Ratu Inoke called on the staff at the ministry to work closely with their new Permanent Secretary. He said Mr Nair brought with him a wealth of experience that would benefit the ministry and the country. Mr Nair is no stranger to the ministry having served there for a number of years at various levels, with his most recent posting as the Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. In his remarks, Mr Nair said he would work closely with the staff, the Minister and the Government to ensure that Fiji’s foreign interests were achieved.
