Next Golan Heights Rotation in August
Territorial Force personnel have been selected to be part of two rotations
The next rotations for the Fijian soldiers serving in Syria’s Golan Heights will be in August.
Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Staff Officer administration with Directorate Peace Support Operations, Major Isikeli Vakadewabuka confirmed the rotation would be in two lifts between the first and last week of August.
There are currently 288 Fijian soldiers serving under the United Nations Disengagement Force (UNDOF) in Syria. Major Vakadewabuka confirmed that 115 Territorial Force personnel have been selected to be part of two rotations that went through their medical board check at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua yesterday.
He added that the situation at the Golan Heights have been very quiet lately and has changed from what used to be last year.
