Next Golan Heights Ro­ta­tion in Au­gust

Ter­ri­to­rial Force per­son­nel have been se­lected to be part of two ro­ta­tions

The next ro­ta­tions for the Fi­jian sol­diers serv­ing in Syria’s Golan Heights will be in Au­gust.

Repub­lic of Fiji Mil­i­tary Forces (RFMF), Staff Of­fi­cer ad­min­is­tra­tion with Direc­torate Peace Support Op­er­a­tions, Ma­jor Isikeli Vakade­wabuka con­firmed the ro­ta­tion would be in two lifts be­tween the first and last week of Au­gust.

There are cur­rently 288 Fi­jian sol­diers serv­ing un­der the United Na­tions Disen­gage­ment Force (UNDOF) in Syria. Ma­jor Vakade­wabuka con­firmed that 115 Ter­ri­to­rial Force per­son­nel have been se­lected to be part of two ro­ta­tions that went through their med­i­cal board check at the Queen El­iz­a­beth Bar­racks in Nabua yes­ter­day.

He added that the sit­u­a­tion at the Golan Heights have been very quiet lately and has changed from what used to be last year.
