Eliki (Aliki) Suka Kolinisau, who is wanted for questioning in relation to the death of his wife Naomi Kolinisau, has reportedly been sighted in Australia. Suka’s disappearance led to a nation-wide hunt by Police. Two rewards had been offered- $1000 by the Fiji Police Force and $500 by the Crime Stoppers National Board for any information leading to his arrest. Nothing concrete has been forthcoming.

It is alleged that Suka set alight the manager’s quarters of Natavora Restaurant and Music Bar along Coral Coast in December, 2013.

His wife died after sustaining 60 per cent burns. Their daughter survived.

Well placed Police sources say Suka, who would be 70 now, is in Sydney, Australia and travels extensively. Sources say that he does not stay at one place for long.

Sources also confirm that his Fijian bank account has remained untouched since he disappeared. Police had managed to trace a mobile phone that he was using in Sydney, but further investigations led to a dead end.

For a while, Police had been baffled by his disappearance and at one stage, his jacket was found hanging from a tree in a bush. Police sources now say that the jacket was planted there as a red herring. Suka was also put on a watch list by Police and sources confirm that he did not fly out of the country. It is believed that he may have been assisted to flee the country in a yacht.
