Record num­bers of elite lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional triath­letes are gear­ing up for what has be­come one of Fiji’s largest and most pres­ti­gious mul­ti­sport events. The Sher­a­ton and Westin Re­sorts, Fiji gears up for the 4th Fiji In­ter­na­tional Triathlon Event, which starts to­mor­row at Denarau Is­land. In a press re­lease yes­ter­day, the or­gan­is­ers con­firmed that the event has at­tracted over 250 par­tic­i­pants from Aus­tralia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Ire­land, USA, Samoa, Pa­pua New Guinea, Solomon Is­lands and French Poly­ne­sia. They will be com­pet­ing against the lo­cal ath­letes.

”In ad­di­tion these par­tic­i­pants will travel with their part­ners, fam­i­lies and friends to sup­port them, with an added bonus of a Fiji hol­i­day and mak­ing a sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tion to­wards our tourism in­dus­try and econ­omy.” Star­wood Ho­tels and Re­sorts
