One of four alleged robbers front court
A man charged with aggravated robbery appeared at the Suva Magistrate Court yesterday. Ravuama Kedraika appeared before Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne who has remanded him and has transferred the matter to the High Court.
It is alleged that on February 6, 2016 Kedraika and three others robbed Bijen Pratap and stole cash and other expensive items which were the properties of Bhan Pratap Supermarket.
The total value of the stolen items was $17,182.
Police prosecutor Acting Corporal Josua Shaw objected to the bail and told the court that Kedraika had a history of breaching bail, this was an indictable offence, that three other accomplices have yet to be arrested, and Kedraika had other matters in court. Mr Somaratne took into account the prosecutions objection and denied Kedraika bail. Court has been adjourned to June 3. Jessica Gounder
