Pa­cific Fo­rum Line in­creases ship­ping costs be­tween Aus­tralia and Fiji

Pa­cific Fo­rum Line has ad­vised its cus­tomers that ef­fec­tive July 1, they will im­ple­ment a north­bound gen­eral rate in­crease for its Aus­tralia to Fiji ser­vice. The com­pany said the de­ci­sion was made fol­low­ing a re­view of both their op­er­at­ing costs and freight costs.

It be­lieves the in­crease will en­sure a sus­tain­able and de­vel­op­ing mar­ket lead­ing ser­vice from Aus­tralia to Fiji. A gen­eral rate in­crease of US$150 per 20’ con­tainer and US$300 per 40’ con­tainer will ap­ply to full con­tainer load (FCL), Gen­eral, Freight All Kinds (FAK) and Reefer cargo.

This will be ef­fec­tive from the sail­ing of Cap­i­taine Tas­man 156N.
