Know your Commissioner?

Seems some in remoter Police spots might not quite know their new boss on sight yet. Story doing the rounds is that longtime top soldier Sitiveni Qiliho dropped in at one post some distance from the city. He was wearing plain clothes rather than his Police Commissioner uniform and travelling without staff or trappings of office. Officers on duty apparently did not realise their polite visitor was the Commissioner himself. They were – perhaps fortunately – said to have been helpful, and equally polite, to their visitor.

Passage to what?

Also causing comment: A description up on the board showing where maternity patients are at CWM.

Some are listed as being in “Passage”.

That’s right. Their beds are out in the passage. Maybe worth a visit from the Assistant Minister.

That’s no joke

Chatter amongst people of influence last night should be of concern to Radio Navtarang’s managers. The words “shameless! cheap sexual jokes” was one such comment in relation to some programme on air in afternoon drive time.
